Men's HCA December Honors Are Announced

December was a lighter than usual month for NCAA Men’s Hockey but the top individual performances are still strong in the Men’s Hockey Commissioners Association’s monthly selections. Here they are!!
Men’s Co-Forwards of the Month: Brett Meerman, JR F, Augustana
(Blackfalds, AB)
and
Justin Poirier, FR F, Maine
(Valleyfield, PQ)
Two 9-point scorers lead the way. Meerman went 5-4-9 in six games for Augustana (3-1-2), while Poirier was 6-3-9 in five games for Maine (3-2-0).

(Mississauga, ON)
Ivankovic came up big in a key series against rival Michigan State. Two-game numbers were 1.02 and .964, highlighted by a 23-save shutout in East Lansing.

Men’s Defender of the Month: Jake Livanavage, JR D, North Dakota
(Phoenix, AZ)
Livanavage made his presence felt at home and abroad. He helped North Dakota to a 4-0 month with a line of 2-3-5 in four games and then led the U.S. Collegiate Selects into the Spengler Cup final in Davos, Switzerland.

Men’s Rookie of the Month: Anthony Romani, FR F, Michigan State
(Pickering, ONT)
Romani put up 4-2-6 in four games for the Spartans, including two goals in a win against #1 Michigan. He also had a goal and an assist in each game of the Great Lakes Invitational where he was named to the All-Tournament Team.
