QU’s Jacob Quillan Leads HCA Monthly Honors for March-April

Here are the men’s monthly honorees for March-April performances as selected by the Hockey Commissioners Association.


playerMen’s Player of the Month: Jacob Quillan, Quinnipiac, SO Forward (Dartmouth, NS)

Quillan scored the season’s most important goal, the over- time game-winner in the NCAA Championship Game, to lift QU over Minnesota, 3-2, just 10 seconds into the extra frame. He was 7-2-9 in seven games for the Bobcats and had two GWGs in that span.

Runners-Up:
Liam McLinskey, SO F, Holy Cross (Pearl River, NY) (7 GP, 9-0-9, 1.29 PPG/GPG) - Set an Atlantic Hockey record with nine post-season goals, including three GWGs for the Crusaders.

playerMen’s Rookie of the Month: Adam Fantilli, Michigan. FR Forward (Nobleton, ON)

Named the recipient of both the Hobey Baker Award and Tim Taylor Award (Rookie of the Year) on April 7, Fantilli went 10-5-15 in seven games for Michigan.

playerMen’s Co-Goaltender of the Month: Drew Commesso, Boston University, JR Goalie (Norwell, MA)

Commesso got hot at the right time, winning seven straight and finishing 7-1-0 in March-April period. He had a 1.96 GAA and a save percentage of .928 in leading the Terriers into the Frozen Four in Tampa.


playerMen’s Co-Goaltender of the Month: Jaxon Castor, St. Cloud State, SR Goalie (Phoenix, AZ)

Led SCSU into the NCAA Tournament with a 4-2-0 record in this period, two of the wins being shutouts. His impressive numbers: 1.67 GAA and a save percentage of .936.
