Mlynkova, Golini, Polin and Graf Top HCA Monthly Honorees

Here are the men’s and women’s monthly honorees and runners-up for November, as chosen by the Hockey Commissioners Association.


playerWomen’s Co-Player of the Month: Natalie Mlynkova, JR, Forward, Vermont (Zlin, Czechia)

Mlýnková took over the UVM lead in scoring with 7-7-14 in seven games. Her 2.00 points per game was best among all players in Hockey East.


playerWomen’s Co-Player of the Month: Kelly Golini, GR, Forward, Saint Anselm (Tewksbury, MA)

Golini went 8-7-15, helping Saint A’s to an 8-2 record. Scored twice against Dartmouth, once in each game, and logged the GWG against the Big Green in a 2-0 win in Hanover.

Runners-Up:
Sophie Jaques, GR D, Ohio State (Toronto, ON) (6 GP, 5-5-10)
Sarah Thompson, JR F, Syracuse (Ottawa, ON) (6 GP, 6-5-11)


playerMen’s Co-Player of the Month: Jason Polin, SR, Forward, Western Michigan (Holt, MI)

Polin scored 10 goals in November, as part of a 10-5-15 line in just seven games. He opened November with a bang, becoming the first NCHC player to record hat tricks on back-to-back nights, doing so Nov. 4-5 in a sweep of Miami.


playerMen’s Co-Player of the Month: Collin Graf, SO, Forward, Quinnipiac (Lincoln, MA)

His 5-10-15 led QU to a 9-0-1 November. Had a hat trick against Yale and a seven-game point streak.

Dylan St. Cyr, GR G, Michigan State, (Northville, MI) (8 GP, 2.00, 7-1-0, .947, 7-1-0, 2 ShO)


playerWomen’s Rookie of the Month: Riley Walsh, FR, Forward, Union (Duxbury, MA)

Walsh was as clutch as can be for Union in the month of November, tallying eight points in five games for the Dutchwomen. Three of her four goals were overtime game- winners as Union went 4-0-1 on the month.

Hailey MacLeod, FR G, Minnesota Duluth (Abbotsford, BC) (3 GP, 2-0-0, 0.41. .980, 1 ShO, 1 assist)
Alexis Petford, FR F, Stonehill (Balgonie, SK) (10 GP, 5-5-10, 1.0 PPG)


playerMen’s Rookie of the Month: Ryan McAllister, FR, Forward, Western Michigan (London, ON)

McAllister continued his hot start, repeating as NCHC Rookie of the Month and leading the conference with both 16 points and 14 assists in seven games. His 2.29 PPG in the month was also tops among all NCHC players.

Karsen Dorwart, FR F, Michigan State (Sherwood, OR (8 GP, 6-4-10)


playerWomen’s Goaltender of the Month: Pia Dukaric, SO, Goalie, Yale (Ljubljana, Slovenia)

Dukaric was lights out in November, posting three shut- outs in six starts and a perfect 6-0-0 month. She had a 0.99 GAA and a save percentage of .961. Five of her wins came against nationally-ranked opponents Quinnipiac, Princeton, Penn State (2X), and Minnesota.

Gwyneth Philips, SR G, Northeastern (Athens, OH) (9 GP, 1.01 GAA, 8-1-0, .952, 3 ShO);
Jill Hertl, FR G, Franklin Pierce (Highland Park, IL) (7 GP, 0.99 GAA, 961, 4-2-1, .3 ShO)


playerMen’s Goaltender of the Month: Chad Veltri, SR, Goalie, Niagara (Pittsburg, PA)

Niagara senior Chad Veltri led the Purple Eagles to a perfect 4-0-0 record. Veltri posted a 1.49 GAA and a .957 save percentage, averaging 33.5 saves per game and 35.0 shots per game.

Hugo Ollas, SO G, Merrimack (Linkoping, Sweden) (4 GP, 1.01 GAA, .960, 3-1-0, 2 ShO);
Christian Stoever, SO F, Bowling Green (Northville, MiI) (6 GP, 1.86 GAA, .945, 4-2-0, 1 ShO)
