Fantilli and Serdachny Highlight First HCA Monthly Honors

Here are the first batch of men’s and women’s monthly honorees and runners-up as chosen by the Hockey Commissioners Association. The men cover October while the women include September as well
Men’s Player and Rookie of the Month: Adam Fantilli,
FR Forward, Michigan (Nobleton, ON)
Adam Fantilli leads the nation in scoring as he begins his freshman campaign at Michigan. In eight games he has eight goals, 10 assists for 18 points. He has at least one point in every game and recorded his first career hat trick on Oct. 21 at Lake Superior State. The following day he tallied his first four-point game with a goal and three helpers.

Women’s Player of the Month: Danielle Serdachny,
SR Forward, Colgate (Edmonton, AB)
Her 1.90 PPG off 8-13-21 (11 GP) led the NCAA through October. Her efforts also launched Colgate to a 10-1 start and a #6 in the nation ranking.

Women’s Rookie of the Month: Caroline Harvey,
FR Defense, Wisconsin (Salem, NH)
Harvey’s 19 points in 12 games (6-13-19) led all rookie skaters in the WCHA, and were third among all WCHA players. Harvey also topped all WCHA players with her plus/minus +22 rating on the ice.

Men’s Goaltender of the Month: Dominic Basse,
JR Goalie, St. Cloud State (Alexandria, VA)
Basse was a perfect 4-0-0 with NCHC-leading numbers of 1.25 GAA and .945 save percentage. Numbers include a 34-save perfromance in a 4-3 win over then #2 Minnesota State.

Women’s Co-Goaltender of the Month: Gwyneth Philips,
SR Goalie, Northeastern (Athens, OH)
Philips proved up to the task of following two-time Goalie
of the Year Aerin Frankel by going 8-1-1 with an 0.81 GAA
and .961 save percentage for the Huskies.
Women’s Co-Goaltender of the Month: Michelle Pasiechnyk,
JR Goalie, Clarkson (Ottawa, ON)
Pasiechnyk compiled a 7-1 record in her eight games for
the Golden Knights, compiling an 0.75 GAaA and a save percentage of .961.
